This all happened thanks to you.
On January 28th, 2025, I discovered a post on Reddit. It was a call to action - for Americans to stand up together on one day, in every state of the USA, for their democracy. I was feeling so alone, and so desperate for an answer amongst all this chaos.
One week later, I had the privilege of speaking to all of you on the Idaho State Capitol steps.
50501 has the potential to change this nation, but if that is going to happen, we must continue our work here.
So, I wanted to reach out to all of you - the people that made this possible, and ask. What would you like to see next? If we were to host another rally/protest, how do you think WE could make a difference? What would be the best time/day?
We are already planning for President’s Day. Noon on the capitol steps, more info coming as we develop a plan.
This movement caught on so quickly because of its commitment to empowering every person to be the change they want to see in the world. It’s a beautiful, simple sentiment, and I hope we were able to drive that home on Wednesday.
As you all know, the Trump Administration is moving quickly, which means it is so crucial for us to move faster.
We would like to put on more events, and possibly begin working with local organizations here in Boise and the rest of Idaho to become a massive force for change, and for good. I, personally, am interested in doing a lot of things in our communities - not just protests. For example - food drives, warm clothes drives, a community garden (once it isn’t snowing!), volunteer work, compiling information for voters, sending out important news, etc. etc.
I wanted to reach out to the collective and ask for your suggestions. Because this movement belongs to all of us. Not just me, or my team of organizers.
YOU have made this all possible.
